monthly goals / december

a month of goals: december

How is it December already, y’all?! I feel like we just moved into our house here in South Carolina, and now we’ve been living in the house for a whole year. It’s so hard to believe that the time has moved so quickly. It’s been such a great year, and I’m thrilled to end it on a good note! Before I get to everything coming this month, let’s recap November!

  • SUCCESSFULLY HOST 3 LIVE, FREE WORKSHOPS – Done and done! Whew! Last month was a busy one with those workshops. I feel like I was hosting one every week, and well… that’s because I basically was. It was fun though! The more of these I do, the more fun I have with them. I have one more live workshop planned for this month: the MailChimp Training. That’s happening next week, and I’m leaving the replay up indefinitely so anyone who needs it can use it!
  • START PLANNING A FREE EMAIL LIST RELATED EMAIL SERIES – Done! This became a 3-day challenge called Create Irresistible Incentives. I’m seriously excited for this. I’ve been working on the content + the super cute worksheets, and I can’t wait! Everyone who signs up for this training gets first access to purchase my new ecourse: Kickstart Your List!
  • BUY CHRISTMAS GIFTS / FINALIZE A WISHLIST / PUT UP THE TREE – Done! So happy this is done and there’s nothing else to worry about as far as Christmas goes. We have the tree up at our house, and I helped put the tree up at my parents’ house while home for Thanksgiving. I’ve gotten all of the Christmas gifts purchased, and we finally decided what we wanted. Now we can sit back and enjoy the season!

What a month! I can’t believe so much happened last month, and it’s crazy to look at the next couple of months and think about all that I’m getting ready to do and share with y’all. For now, though, I’m focusing on the month in front of me so I don’t get too ahead of myself! Here are my goals for December –

  • Finish as much client work as possible – I have a handful of clients that I started with in the past month that I’d love to get wrapped up before the first of the year. I really enjoyed starting this year on a clean slate with totally new clients, so here’s to hoping I can do that again.
  • Do a Periscope all about list building – Yeah, you read that right. After my gal Krista did her first I told her I’d do my first one as well! It’ll probably be happening early next week, but we’ll see! I’m excited to try something new, especially after I’ve gotten so comfortable with the live workshops!
  • Finalize the rest of the details for Kickstart Your List – There are a handful of things that still need to be finalized before I start pre-selling the course, so I’m challenging myself to get it all done. I’m feeling so confident about this course and how much it’s going to help y’all, so I relaly just cannot wait to get it out in front of you!
  • Buy nothing unnecessary to life or business – Between random office supplies and ecourses, the last couple of months I’ve somewhat been on a spending spree. I’m challenging myself to put a hold on the spending and only get what I absolutely need. Thank goodness pretty much all of the holiday sales are over, so hopefully it’ll be a little bit easier.

There you have it! I’m still trying to decide if I want to keep these monthly goals posts going into the new year. It definitely holds me a little more accountable and helps me get a bit more done than I might if I didn’t set goals. Do y’all want to keep seeing these posts next year?

I personally LOVE goals lists and seeing others goals. It makes me more motivated to make some of my own and also see what others have accomplished in a month. I say stick with it :)

The past couple of weeks have been amazing and bit The past couple of weeks have been amazing and bittersweet. We spent a week in Tennessee with family, and then came home to get ready for yet another deployment. I’m not ready to say “see ya later,” but I never am. Here’s to soaking up every final moment (and knowing all of my clients are keeping me so busy for Q1 that this deployment will likely fly by 😅😜).
When Emma was born one of the things I was most ex When Emma was born one of the things I was most excited about was being creative with her. This year we’ve fallen in love with drawing with crayons (and pens and pencils), finger painted canvases, painted ice, and now we’ve painted pumpkins.
We woke up yesterday morning and decided to go sho We woke up yesterday morning and decided to go shopping. Then we remembered stores open late on Sundays and ain’t nobody got time to wait until 11am to start shopping. We made an impromptu trip to the beach instead, and it was the best. 😍🙌🏼
2018 is in the books, and it was one of the best a 2018 is in the books, and it was one of the best and hardest years for me. Being Emma’s mama has brought me so much joy - I literally cried when she laughed for the first time. But taking care of a newborn alone was a huge challenge that I didn’t think I was going to make it through many nights in early in the year.

We had an amazing summer while my husband was home, soaking up every second of time we had together before saying “see ya later” for another 4.5 months. We did a small home project, and we watched hundreds of hours of tv and movies after Emma went to bed.

This was such an amazing year, even through the challenges, and I truthfully can’t wait to see what 2019 brings. Here’s to another amazing 12 months of life and love ✨

Do you ever stop and think about just how grateful Do you ever stop and think about just how grateful you are to be doing what you love with the freedom you have? This morning I got a call from my mom about them changing her hours at work, and the more I thought about it the more grateful it made me to be able to define what my hours are on my own.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
However, it also makes me sooo grateful that I'm able to help women grow their business so they can leave jobs that drain them, that change their hours on a whim, that force them to spend time away from their families.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I currently have just a couple more spots open for design projects before the end of the year, and I would love to fill them with women, like you, who are ready to tell their story through their branding and create a website that helps generate leads and sales. If that's you, feel free to DM me or check out the link in my profile for how we can work together.
