It seems so weird to say that the first week of November is basically over. I, as usual, cannot even believe that it’s already November. I don’t know where October went. We had historical flooding, my birthday, and Halloween. It seems like so little happened, yet so much at the same time. Oh, and remember when I said the cooler weather means open windows? That hardly happened. It’s still hitting the 80’s here, so it’s been a while since I’ve opened any windows.
This post is going to be a little different from the earlier ones this year, but it’s because the way I’ve been looking at my goals has changed a little. On the plus side of things, I do feel pretty good about everything that I got done last month. So let’s recap –
- DO FALL THINGS – Not done. I’ll be honest, when the weekends finally rolled around and we actually had time to do things we had no desire to do them. We’re so logical with things that we actually said to each other we didn’t see any point in getting pumpkins because we’d just be throwing them away.
READ MORE– Done! I’m so happy I didn’t set a number on this because I honestly probably wouldn’t have reached it otherwise. I finished three books last month, which brings my year total to 52. It’s pretty cool to see how much more I’ve read this year.ADD RECENT PROJECTS TO PORTFOLIO– Done! I added projects to the site, but I never added them to my actual Portfolio page, which is okay. I don’t want to make my list uneven (hello, OCD) so I’m waiting until I add more. It’s a whole thing to sit down and put together everything to add it to the site, so I’m happy I got this done.PLAN FOR THE BLOG+ EMAIL LIST – Half done, sort of. I made the really crazy decision after almost 4 years of blogging 5 days a week to cut the crap and get more intentional. I’m so happy I did because it took a lot of pressure and frustration off my shoulders. It’s also allowed me to pour more energy into my email list, guest posts, and like a million other things. I did a little planning on the email list, but I didn’t get any further than next week so I’ll consider that not done.
See? Last month went pretty well. I’m not devastated that we didn’t do many “fall things”. This month is like last month plus some. I feel like I went from having one thing to a million, so this is going to be a pretty interesting month, especially since Thanksgiving is coming up! So here’s what’s going on this month –
- Successfully host 3 live, free workshops – Yep, you read that right. I don’t know how it happened but this month I’m going to be doing 3 separate workshops for y’all! Two are being co-hosted by two other really amazing ladies, and the final is a solo workshop that I’m really excited about! If you want more details click on the details below to read more + sign up! I’d love to see y’all at one or maybe even all three workshops!
- Start planning a free email list related email series – It might sound crazy to y’all that I say this since I just launched Discover Your Brand this week, but this one will likely go live next month if I can make it happen. I’m really driven to make the launch for Kickstart Your List really awesome, and this is one of the ways I’m trying to do that! More details soon, my friends.
- Buy Christmas gifts / finalize a wishlist / put up the tree – You know what’s bugging me right now? People are complaining that we’re skipping Thanksgiving because half of America is thinking about Christmas. I get it, but, for the most part, you celebrate Thanksgiving on the day. Since December will be a rush to get projects wrapped up and then traveling back to Tennessee, I’m really pushing to get as much done this month as I can.
That’s it, y’all. These last two months of the year are going to be crazy as we settle in to yet another new schedule with D, figure out what we’re getting to do with the holidays as far as leave goes, oh and me being in the middle of planning + writing a whole ecourse. I’ve learned in the past that setting huge goals month after month can be exhausting and disappointing when you realize they didn’t happen. So, this month I’m going easy on myself, especially since there’s so much I’ve done in the last two weeks and what I’m trying to do!
This month’s live, free workshops! Click the details to sign up!
I’ll be popping in a little more this month to share with y’all the reviews of the books I read last month, project launches, and more! Can’t wait to share all that’s been going on behind the scenes lately!
P.s. I want to know what y’all are working on! Leave a goal for November in the comments or tweet me!
