Now-a-days there’s an influx of people hanging out on the internet. There are probably thousands of blogs and just as many people trying to start their own business online as well. With so many people online, though, it can often feel like there’s never an original idea, making it even harder to help your brand stand out. Regardless of whether you’re trying to grow your brand to make money through collaborations with sponsors or if you’re interested in starting your own business, it’s important to make sure that you’re making your brand stand out while paving your own unique path along the way.
Since making sure your brand stand out is so important, here are a few key ways you can do just that:
Regularly do a brand audit
One of the toughest things about trying to grow your brand is that you’re often left working in the blog or business and not on it. This means that without even meaning to, you can get off track from your brand’s big vision. A great way to make sure that you’re staying on track with your vision and goals is to regularly do an audit of your brand. Ask yourself what your values and message is, and then take a look at what you’ve been sharing on your blog or on your social media accounts and see if things are aligning the way they should be. If not, take some time to figure out if a) how you can get back on track with your vision or b) if you’re moving in a direction you want to go.
Make sure your brand’s design is consistent
Want to know one thing that helps even a mediocre brand stand out? It’s design consistency. Regardless of whether you DIY’d your brand design or paid a professional to create things for you, it’s important to make sure that everything is on point as you continue to grow your brand. This means sticking to your brand colors and fonts, on the graphics you make, any ebooks or opt-ins that you’re putting out, and even social media. Design consistency teaches your loyal readers and even the occasional reader when something is a product of your brand. Just think about it – when you see graphics on Pinterest, do you automatically know whose blog they came from? Probably! That’s great design consistency.

Make a Notebook for questions from your readers
When writing content for your blog or newsletter, it’s difficult to figure out what your readers need from you, which means you often just post what you feel like writing or similar things that people within your niche are sharing. A really great way to make your brand truly stand out and help your readers even better is to make a notebook to collect questions or concerns as they share them or you see them online. Knowing the exact concerns of your readers will obviously help you provide focused content that will benefit your readers. You’ll be more likely to provide original content, which will absolutely stand out among the relatively similar content that everyone else is developing.
