Happy June, friends! I can’t believe that this year is going so fast! It seems like it was just yesterday that I moved over to South Carolina, and it literally feels like five minutes ago that we added Zoey to our family. I’ve been a bit busier around here than I was last time I shared in this series, so here’s what’s been going on –
+ I’ve been killing it on reading this month. I finished Ps. I Still Love You over the weekend making it the six books that I read last month. I read mostly fiction (teen fiction, at that) last month, but I’ll fill y’all in on that tomorrow! I’m trying to finish a few other books before I get started on the business books I shared a few weeks ago, though!
+ I finally sat down and did some work on Craft Your Brand this month. I had originally planned on it being an opt-in, but when I really took a look at everything I wanted to include, it just seemed like too much for an opt-in. So instead, I’m going to make it my new ebook! I’m going to create a new mini guide for the opt-in that’ll be based on this book. I have no idea when I’ll finish it, but I’ll let y’all know when I’m getting there.
+ My parents finally got to come visit our house over Memorial Day weekend. Believe it or not, I think that was the longest string of days my mom had off since… well, since New Years! Her job works her hard, and they needed a vacation (this was their first in like nine years). It was such a blast to have them experience our home. We went down to the beach for a little bit and enjoyed tons of delicious food (including homemade bar-be-que thanks to my dad) while they were here. If you saw my sad Zoey tweet that Friday, it was because we had to board her while they were here since my childhood dog wasn’t socialized enough. She did well though, and if you need to board your pet I highly recommend the Camp Bow Wow chain!
+ We are finally starting to look at getting some decorating done for our living room. When work slowed down over the last few months money got tight (I refuse to spend my savings away), so decorating was way on the back burner. Luckily, though, things have picked up, so now I’m looking for curtains for our living + dining room and hopefully we’ll then be able to start planning what we’re going to hang above our couch. Funny side note: we still don’t have a dining room table!
+ Lastly, Christie and I are excited to announce that we finally (so many finally’s in this post) added a lovely virtual assistant to our Postmark Society team. With both of us running our own businesses, PS got put on the back burner, and with the VA, the lovely miss Micaela, we’re hoping we can get things back to running smoothly. We’ll still be hanging around on social media and in the email, but Micaela is going to be helping us out in much-needed way.
Well that’s about it! What’s been going on with y’all? I’d love to hear in the comments!
