Babysitting this summer has brought back a lot of memories of my childhood. Although I don’t remember much of my life around the time that I was the age the kids are (7, 5) it still brings back some memories of eating candy, forts, camping (for half of the night), Barbies, and much more.
One of my favorite things about sitting the kids was when they started to make forts. They’re much more ambitious than I was (if I remember correctly). They wanted the fort to stretch across the whole living room. I helped them a few times, but seeing them work hard on their own thing was nice too. I think it’s great for young adults and adults to do things like this with kids or inspired by kids. It could relieve stress from a hectic day. Build a fort, eat dinner in it, fall asleep. Build it as big or as small as you’d want it to be – it’s your fort, so make it your own. Hopefully you all will be inspired to do this! If so, let me know how it goes! :)
