Since my major is graphic design, design is something that I’m constantly looking at and/or working on. Specifically, I am taking Graphic Design I this semester, and we are on our second project. Here’s a brief explanation of the project:
Cradle to Cradle, also known as C2C, can be simply explained as the process of recycling and reusing things as much as you can. This is designed to help our planet. Our project was to take this idea and apply it to a company that does something that follows the C2C design. My company is Clay Cycle, which you will be able to send broken, old, and/or unwanted clay pieces to be broken down and used to make more clay. In turn, this process would make clay cheaper for schools and artists to purchase.
We’ve been working on this for about three weeks, and I’ve got my logo finalized:
The left side of the shape is supposed to represent a clay product, while the right side represents the clay that the project will be turned into.
This is one of the most simply designs in class, but now that I have this finally done, I’m really proud of it. Next week we are supposed to be printing and presenting this (as a whole, I believe?). I’m hoping that my classmates will think this is a successful piece.
